Review of Volunteer Guidelines
The Best Practice Guidelines are one of Volunteering New Zealand's initiatives to support and develop managers and coordinators of volunteers in New Zealand. Their suite of tools were built between 2010 and 2015.
Volunteering New Zealand is undertaking a review of volunteer best practice guidelines because:
- Organisations need effective tools and support to manage volunteers
- Guidelines need to meet diverse needs and be inclusive
- Volunteering is changing, demanding a change of approach.
This review has an inclusion and accessibility focus, with the goal of ensuring the tools and resources to support good volunteer involvement are simple, accessible, and inclusive.
