The Journey

Kia ora koutou.  Greetings from NZ Navigator Trust!

Yes that’s right, the time has come in NZ Navigator’s journey to form a charitable trust and to become a registered charity. Until now this initiative has been owned by the community partners, Bishop’s Action Foundation (BAF) and Platform Trust, with Platform acting as the fund holders.

This might sound like dull legal speak but for us it’s very exciting. It means this initiative has evolved to the point where it can stand on its own two feet – and more than that, it’s ready to fly!

The Trust has clarified the vision as: building the GoTo digital space to equip a thriving community sector in Aotearoa New Zealand.

We’ve decided to focus in a digital arena because we think that’s the best way to provide convenience and affordability, to be efficient, and also have a broad reach across our diverse community sector.

NZ Navigator, the online self-assessment, and CommunityNet Aotearoa, the online resource storehouse, are the nucleus of this digital space but we are on a mission to grow the offerings. Rather than own everything that sits within the hub, we plan to signpost to other great tools that support your work and development too.

We promise to keep the resources and the digital space simple, relevant, useful and trusted.
